Au Sri Lanka, par exemple, les filles repr\u00e9sentent un peu plus de la moiti\u00e9 des enfants scolaris\u00e9s, mais seulement 20 % des \u00e9tudiants en technologies de l&rsquo;information et de la communication (TIC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Girls in Technology (GiT)<\/strong>, un projet lanc\u00e9 par le&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/isoc.lk\/index.php\/en\/\">chapitre du Sri Lanka<\/a>&nbsp;de l&rsquo;Internet Society, a pour objectif de changer cette situation. Avec le soutien du&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.isocfoundation.org\/fr\/grant-programme\/programme-de-grandes-bourses-de-beyond-the-net\/\">programme de financement Beyond the Net<\/a>&nbsp;de la Fondation Internet Society, ce projet vise \u00e0 augmenter le nombre de jeunes filles d\u00e9cidant de s&rsquo;orienter vers les TIC.&nbsp;Pour ce faire, les objets connect\u00e9s et la plateforme Micro:Bit ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s aux enfants, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;histoires, de jeux et d&rsquo;applications pour objets connect\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scratch.mit.edu\/\">Scratch<\/a>, un langage de programmation gratuit et ludique pour concevoir des algorithmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans les universit\u00e9s, le projet a permis de familiariser les \u00e9tudiants avec l&rsquo;\u00e9lectronique et les objets connect\u00e9s gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 de nombreux ateliers de formation et \u00e0 une exp\u00e9rience pratique de base des circuits \u00e9lectroniques et de Micro:Bit. Les \u00e9tudiants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 incit\u00e9s \u00e0 utiliser des outils en ligne tels que&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tinkercad.com\/\">TinkerCad<\/a>afin de mod\u00e9liser des circuits et tester diverses applications pour objets connect\u00e9s.&nbsp;Un&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hackerrank.com\/coding-start\">Hackathon<\/a>&nbsp;en ligne a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 pour tester les chefs d&rsquo;\u00e9quipes dans le domaine de la programmation.&nbsp;Les jeunes femmes ont pu discuter entre elles par Zoom et les m\u00e9dias sociaux, en donnant des conseils aux membres du programme GiT d&rsquo;autres universit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00ab J&rsquo;ai trouv\u00e9 une nouvelle communaut\u00e9 o\u00f9 je peux m&rsquo;\u00e9panouir. \u00bb<\/p><cite>Chami Palawatte<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 tout point de vue, le projet Girls in Technology a fait bouger les lignes, en augmentant la participation des \u00e9coli\u00e8res et des \u00e9tudiantes dans les m\u00e9tiers technologiques \u00e9mergents li\u00e9s \u00e0 Internet. Cela a ouvert des portes vers des carri\u00e8res dans les TIC, en formant&nbsp;<strong>690 \u00e9coliers<\/strong>&nbsp;(415 filles et 275 gar\u00e7ons),&nbsp;<strong>294 \u00e9tudiants<\/strong>&nbsp;(121 femmes, 153 hommes) et&nbsp;<strong>22 enseignants<\/strong>. Plusieurs femmes ont obtenu des stages dans des entreprises technologiques de pointe du Sri Lanka, et toutes les participantes chefs d&rsquo;\u00e9quipe ayant obtenu leur dipl\u00f4me en 2019 \u00e0 l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 de Kelaniya ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recrut\u00e9es comme ing\u00e9nieures logicielles ou chercheuses. L&rsquo;une des participantes, Rameela Azeez, a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e pour repr\u00e9senter le Sri Lanka au concours&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.huawei.com\/en\/about-huawei\/sustainability\/win-win-development\/social-contribution\/seeds-for-the-future\">Seeds for the Future<\/a>&nbsp;organis\u00e9 par Huawei, qui a pris en charge ses frais de d\u00e9placement vers la Chine. \u00c0 son retour, elle est devenue un mod\u00e8le pour les autres jeunes filles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00ab GiT nous a rendues touche-\u00e0-tout. Selon le secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l&rsquo;ONU, Ant\u00f3nio Guterres : \u00ab Pour r\u00e9pondre aux d\u00e9fis du XXIe si\u00e8cle, nous devons exploiter tout notre potentiel, ce qui passe notamment par la d\u00e9construction des st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes sexistes. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cela est d&rsquo;autant plus important que\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/ark:\/48223\/pf0000253479\">seulement 30 % des \u00e9tudiantes choisissent les domaines scientifiques et techniques dans l&rsquo;enseignement sup\u00e9rieur<\/a>, et que la proportion de femmes dans les \u00e9tudes scientifiques et techniques dans le monde entier n&rsquo;est que de 3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u00ab GiT m&rsquo;a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 enrichir mes comp\u00e9tences en programmation. \u00bb<\/em><\/p><cite><em>Gaya Madumali<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet Girls in Technology offre un ensemble riche et vari\u00e9 de bonnes pratiques visant \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre l&rsquo;importance de l&rsquo;\u00e9galit\u00e9 des chances pour donner les moyens d&rsquo;agir aux femmes.
