As the Alumni Specialist, I manage the activities and communications of the Internet Society Alumni Network to create a culture of connectedness to our mission.
Before joining the Internet Society Foundation, I developed an intercultural curriculum and executed inclusive learning programs and strategies at the University of Minnesota, my alma mater. I completed my master’s program in Comparative and International Development Education at the university in 2022. During my program, I examined student engagement strategies in online learning and completed my thesis on the subject.
I am passionate about humanity. I believe positive impacts do not come from good intentions. Rather, we need to listen empathetically and work collaboratively for true transformations. I am excited about using my expertise to build impactful communities to better our societies.
I am Chinese with U.S. nationality. I have lived both in China and the United States extensively. I love admiring the beauty of nature and immersing myself in rich cultures that may be unfamiliar to me. Domestically, I have visited 48 out of 50 states as well as the majority of U.S. national parks. Internationally, I have travelled to Michoacán of México, England, Norway, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, and Portugal.
Outside of travelling, I enjoy singing and learning new languages. I am learning French and I aim to reach B1 level by 2025.
