Innocent Adriko
I’m an Associate Program Officer at the Internet Society Foundation, where I manage the Beyond the Net (BTN) and Chapter Administration Fund (CAF) programs as well as the Internet Governance Forum (IGF)/ School of Internet Governance (SIG) sponsorships. Prior to this role, I worked as a Program Coordinator, supporting the two Programs Teams with a wide variety of administrative and programmatic duties.
Over the years, I worked at the intersection of people and technology, primarily on community & youth engagement in the Internet Governance ecosystem to get more people connected, empowered and organized in communities that harness the power of the Internet, but also on digital rights, Internet policy advocacy, and digital security.
I am passionate about international issues, with a keen interest in how the Internet evolves as a resource to enrich and transform our communities. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from Victoria University, Kampala, and a Diploma in Information Technology Science from the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology.
During my free time, I like to catch up with friends and watch movies. I play pool table & badminton and sometimes go camping. I fluently speak English and five local languages in Uganda, as well as basic French. I’m based in Uganda.
