Objective of the Project
The project aims to strengthen Douala-IX by upgrading equipment and expanding port capacity to accommodate more peers. It seeks to foster a stronger peering culture by educating network operators and end-user organizations about the benefits of local BGP routing and participation in the IXP. A comprehensive series of technical, governance, and outreach activities is planned to support the integration, community engagement, and sustainability of Douala-IX.

Enhancing Douala-IX will promote local content delivery, improve Internet efficiency, and encourage the growth of a self-sustaining digital infrastructure.
