Objective of the Project
The primary objective of this project is to conduct a comprehensive training for engineers with the necessary technical skills and knowledge to effectively utilize the Rwanda Internet Exchange Point (RINEX) infrastructure. Through in-person training sessions, engineers from public and private institutions, banks, universities, and content providers will cover key areas, including IP resource management, routing protocols, and infrastructure monitoring, to enable effective local Internet traffic exchange.
Why is This Project Important?
Connecting more institutions to RINEX will increase affordability and improve Internet efficiency and reliability. The initiative supports national ICT priorities by promoting faster, more affordable local connectivity, enhancing service delivery, and fostering economic and social development.
