I am the Content Team’s Senior Strategist. Content comes in all forms (audio, text, video), and it informs, entertains, enlightens, or teaches people who consume it. It is critical to our work. Used strategically, it can help us achieve more for the Internet. I help make sure our content is aligned and contributes to the advancement of our mission and the realization of our goals. I am focused on reaching the right audience, with the right messages, in the right way.
I particularly enjoy finding ways to use content to increase the participation of our staff, community, and supporters in our work. And I find deleting double-spaces, dotting i’s, and crossing t’s an oddly cathartic experience.
My background is in public relations and communications, mainly in the technology arena, but with a brief stint in travel (because I like it so much). I have worked both in-house and in agencies for both large national corporations in the private sector and growing global nonprofits, like the Internet Society.
I’ve been lucky enough to get to know workplaces in different parts of the world, including Auckland, Seville, Cordoba, London, and Geneva. My obsession for words extends to other languages. I speak French and Spanish.
When I am not buried in content, you can find me on my yoga mat or running after my two small children.
